It is immensely difficult to proofread your own work â€" one goes blind to minor grammatical issues in a text after reading it repeatedly for days on end. Conversely, citing someone for every point made suggests that you haven’t produced a novel argument. You should also make sure that all the different parts of your essay fit together as a cohesive and logical whole, and that the transition from one argument to the next is fluid. Students often treat essays as lists of arguments, presenting one after the other with little consideration for how they fit together, which inevitably leads to a lower grade. How you present your argument is nearly as important as the argument itself, which is why it is imperative that your essay follows a logical structure. Referencing is not troublesome when following the Oxford Standard Citation of Legal Authorities . This permits you to ensure that everything is cited properly and formatted correctly. Structured and appealing essays are what all readers look for. Your essay should be clear, concise and coherent. Don’t clog your pages with words and ideas that make it look mundane. Let your points flow and connect with your readers. If you do not cite sources properly then this may be regarded as plagiarism. Law Schools take this matter very seriously since plagiarism is considered to be cheating. The first step in learning how to begin an essay is reading the essay prompt in a careful manner and comprehending what it requires. However, the truth is that the inability to understand the question in a proper manner is the sole contributor to disappointing grades when it comes to essay writing. Pick a chapter from the contents page which looks like it’s relevant to your essay. As above, find relevant references and follow them up. Informal essays are more personal and humorous in their approach. They’re written in a style that is easy to comprehend and does not use complex words. They’ll mess up your sleep pattern, you’ll ruin your entire next day, and you’ll likely produce work that a 5-year old would be quick to disown. Often your argument will change over the course of the essay, and you’ll need to alter your intro accordingly. This is like doing your introduction all over again, but with slightly nicer words. OSCOLA is also very helpful with regards to preparing the bibliography. You must continually update the bibliography and not neglect it. An essay without a plan is bound to lead to low marks. The reason for this is to first understand what the essay question requires you to do. Breaking the question apart and planning your argument will lead to a more solid approach. Great essays are all about clear language, the ability to make the mundane magical and one that leaves the grey matter satisfied. When it comes to mastering the art of writing, every single word matters. The conclusion of your essay should give a sense of completion to your content. The Act Writing Sample Essays

The Act Writing Sample Essays Another option is to have a transition sentence first and then a separate topic sentence following it. That is, you have something you want to communicate or argue for and here is your chance to explain it in detail, support it, and defend it. Make sure your thesis statement is clear, specific, declarative, and on-topic. You should be able to provide the thesis statement in one or two sentences for a fairly short paper (about 1-8 pages). It is usually best stated at the end of your introduction section . You will be asked to write an essay based on content you have learnt in class. Once you know exactly what the question is asking of you, do a quick brainstorm to map what you already know about the topic and what you need to find out. Your writer will investigate the topic to make sure not a single aspect of it is left out. It can be done in the first sentence of the new paragraph or the last sentence of the previous one. A good way to tie all the points together throughout the body section is to have them all clearly state how they support the thesis statement. That way it is obvious that all of your paragraphs tie together. We hand-pick the world’s best writers so that your essay is worthy of a top-performing student. Each paragraph in the body section should have a topic sentence and, perhaps, a transition sentence. The topic sentence is the particular point you are trying to make in the paragraph. It should usually be the first sentence of the paragraph, though in some cases it is appropriate to be the second sentence. A transition sentence is a sentence that helps link the points of each paragraph together by making a smooth transition from the previous paragraph. If you have trouble linking the main ideas across your paragraphs, consider reordering them. They are its ‘building blocks’ and it is important to structure them well. It develops that idea in three parts, with a topic sentence, supporting sentences and a concluding or linking sentence. It should be an appropriate guide for writing at the middle school, high school, and lower college levels. The typical assignment I have in mind will be an argumentative essay, in which you argue for something, even if just an interpretation of someone an author’s work. It is also a good idea to re-read your introduction and conclusion to ensure that they match. The introductory paragraph should briefly orient the reader to the topic and provide a conceptual map of the rest of the paper. Although writing an essay is daunting for many people, it can be pretty straight-forward. Then you are ready to state your position and the key points of the argument that you will use to support it. In other words, this is the place for your thesis statement. Again, make sure that it answers all of the essay question. The introduction is the opening to your essay and therefore it should be clear, strong and persuasive. Note that the first sentence of the paragraph may satisfy both goals. That is, you may have a topic sentence that also serves to transition well. The final sentence of your paragraph should summarise or conclude the idea that you introduced in the topic sentence. It can also lead on to the next paragraph by developing a logical link to the next main idea. Good transitions at the end of paragraphs help the essay to feel more coherent. Ask yourself whether your argument is the same at the beginning and the end. If not, you may need to revise your thesis statement and reconsider your structure.

This will depict you as a goal-oriented and forward-thinking person without veering you too far from the main idea of your essay. This may seem difficult, but it is important to provide only the details that are necessary for understanding the main idea of your essay. In academic work, your paragraphs are likely to be a bit longer than most of the ones you see in this blog post. On average, there are usually 100 to 200 words in a paragraph. Ultimately, your essay will be evaluated on the information you present, not on the number of paragraphs in the essay. Early in your academic life, teachers and lecturers may give you both a structure for your essay and a guideline on how long each part of the essay should be. This is a rule of thumb, which means it won’t always work quite that way, but it’s handy all the same. Do not wait until the end of the paragraphâ€"and definitely not until the end of the essayâ€"to present your argument. Most often, it is the last sentence of the introduction. An introduction is typically the first paragraph of your paper. The goal of your introduction is to let your reader know what he or she can expect from your paper. Introductions and conclusions are important components of any essay. When I do this, I write down every single word and thought that comes to mind for an hour straight, and before I know it, I am writing entire lines of text. Following your professor or teacher’s favorite essay format is very important. Unfortunately, we are not hiring writers now due to low season. EssayJack is an interactive web platform with a patented solution that pre-structures student essays, reduces writing anxiety, and allows educator customization and feedback. In its simplest form, an essay can consist of three paragraphs with one paragraph being devoted to each section. Proponents of the five paragraph essay say that the body text should consist of three paragraphs, but in reality, it’s fine to write more or fewer paragraphs in this section. There is no firm rule that says an essay needs to have a set number of paragraphs, but an essay must be a minimum of three paragraphs. Discipline yourself to commit a few hours a day to completing your paper. This is when you brainstorm ideas for your essay. Use semi-colons, em dashes, or compound sentences if necessary. For example, do you have any sentences that start with, “It is” or “It seems that”? These are extraneous words that can be taken out without altering the sentence’s meaning. Prompt’s Essay Specialists reviewed 13,000 admissions essays in 2018, helping thousands of students submit their applications with confidence. Read through your writing and make sure that every sentence has a specific and unique contribution to the essay. If two sentences convey two only slightly differing ideas, try to find a way to combine them. For an eight paragraph essay, I write around 2,000-2,600 words on the document. Keep in mind your quotes too, you should have one quote per paragraph or two . It really is up to the person though, I have a buddy who writes considerably less than I do, but is able to get his point across. What you’re taught is often a general rule to shoot for, not a rule set in concrete. Your teacher felt that 7 paragraphs was a good number for the essays you wrote for her, but it doesn’t always have to be that way. They work to book-end the argument made in the body paragraphs by first explaining what points will be made and then summarizing what points were made . On average for a five-paragraph essay, I write around 1, words.

The Four Major Types Of Essays

The Four Major Types Of Essays Planning your essay makes the writing process quicker and easier. You'll be able to focus on expressing your ideas while remaining within the word count, rather than having to organise your thoughts as you write, which often leads to waffling. We've asked two academic experts for their recommendations on how to plan and write a first-class essay. Mastering how to write an essay early on will help you prepare for writing your dissertation in your final year. Taking the time to properly plan an essay can lead to higher grades, with lecturers welcoming a logical structure that clearly demonstrates your understanding of the subject. The thesis is a succinct statement of your overall argument. If you introduction is multiple paragraphs long you have more flexibility where you place the thesis. Writing Essays does not cover every type of writing you will do at university but it does cover the principal types. So you will find guides to essay writing, dissertation writing, and report writing. Here you should summarize what it is that you have said in your essay, stating what your answer to the question is and why. Often, there is no simple answer (which is why you are writing an essay, and not a two-mark answer on a class test), so you should state what the complexities of the issue are. You may feel that you are repeating yourself, as the body of your essay should have made your argument clear already, but the reader will appreciate a good summary. Remember that good essays don’t just give evidence for their point of view, but also demonstrate why opposing views are flawed. Linear plans are useful for essays requiring a rigid structure. They provide a chronological breakdown of the key points you're going to address. Approaches vary from person to person and will depend on one’s experience in essay writing, almost to the point where a style of writing will be as individual as a signature. Michael recommends that you begin writing your essay by expanding your plan. 'You may find it helpful to write the conclusion first, especially if you know exactly what it is you want to argue,' he adds. 'This can help you to clarify your ideas and also give you something to work towards. This means that, when writing your essay, you can progress through these points. It's up to you to decide which essay writing strategy to adopt but pick the one that works best for you. Even if you do come across a lot of interesting material when researching for your essay, be selective. Interesting material won’t gain you extra marks unless it is relevant. Good essay writing is a skill acquired rather than learnt. Just make sure you paragraphs transition nicely from one to the next. Some teachers advice their students to come up with three points for their thesis. What invariably ends up happening is that you end up writing three mini-essays that are only loosely connected. Imagine a reader, then try to predict their objections to your argument, and then demonstrate why they are wrong. A well-structured essay should consist of a series of paragraphs that progress logically through the series of points that you intend to cover. The trick with writing paragraphs is to remind your reader of the general argument. However, there’s no need to conclude every paragraph with a summary of what came before. Obviously, the difficult part is working out what that order should be. In essence, an essay is an argument, so your structure should be based on the particulars of your argument. Although this may sound obvious, a lot of essays lose marks for containing material that is simply irrelevant. Make sure that you read the assignment sheet thoroughly and are sure about what it asks for before you start reading for the essay. While you are reading, bear in mind what sort of material you are looking for in order to address the assigned topic.

The Basics Of Essay Writing

The Basics Of Essay Writing Often the hardest part is knowing how to finish the conclusion. You have discussed the module concerns throughout the essayâ€" You just have to summarise the relevance into one sentence. You know what your themes areâ€" You can use your topic sentences to produce your thematic framework. Is there an important overall impression you wish to convey? This is your thesis; organize your essay around it. A quote from your subject or a brief anecdote about him or her may provide an interesting introduction ; dialogue can be a great way to add interest to a descriptive essay. Even description for description's sake should have a purpose. I’m glad I don’t have to spend too much time on this assignment. I thought I was going to fail this class this time. This essay saved me and I’m very grateful to all those who helped me. Anyway, if you are not looking for a masterpiece, this service is a nice place to order it. If you must choose, finish your conclusion over a body paragraph. It’s a risky strategy and assessors are increasingly asking more complex and specific questions to catch out students who try and game the system like this. This is especially true in the HSC, where the questions are becoming more focused and thematically specific to weed out students who engage in this practice. Learn how to structure and write an HSC essay step-by-step with HSC experts on Matrix+. The most common form of assessment for Stage 6 English is the in-class essay or HSC essay. (You will have to sit at least 6 essays in Year 12!) Let’s have a look at some stratagems for preparing for these assessments. The first statement tells the marker nothing about what the student has taken learned from the module. The statement it makes only partially relates to the module, and it is not original â€" many students will write something similar. You should only write your conclusion after you have produced the rest of your essay. Incorporate the Module concerns into your topic and linking sentences â€" Don’t merely make the topic sentences about a theme or the text. Connect them to the module by incorporating the language of the Module Rubric. Ask yourself how you can combine these two parts â€" the focus of the paragraph and your thesis. But first, we need to discuss what essays are and how they should work. Wow, I guess you know my mother better than I do ahah. I guess Im just not very good at describing people. For example, you might describe your car as your home away from home, full of snack foods, changes of clothing, old issues of the Chico News & Review, textbooks, and your favorite music. Or, you might describe your car as an immaculate, beautiful, pampered woman on whom you lavish attention and money. Just don't describe your car in cold, clinical detail, front to back without having in mind the purpose, the overall impression you want to create. To achieve this impression, you should not necessarily include all details; use only those that suit your purpose. Many find themselves wondering who can help me write my essay for application and admission purposes. You can learn from a professional essay typer about aspects colleges and universities look for when reviewing related essay content. This essay was a huge deal this semester and I totally forgot about it until it was too late. If it weren't for you I would probably have had to miss my brother's wedding. I would prefer my essay to have more examples and specific conclusions, however, the lack of time did not let me take the full advantage of revisions. You don’t want to have to skip a paragraph or run out of time to finish the conclusion.

The students often combined activities like application and synthesis or analysis and evaluation to build their knowledge and comprehension of unfamiliar concepts. This challenges my understanding of traditional teaching methods where knowledge is the basis for inquiry. For reflective writing, it is important to balance reporting or descriptive writing with critical reflection and analysis. The focus of such an essay predicts its structure. It is a group of conditions such as diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. One of the most common ways of treating patients is supplementing them with vitamin D. However, it follows that in so doing the endura nce physical activity of the patients needs to be considered. This formed the basis of this study whereby the investigation seeks to find the effect of vitamin D supplementation with and without endurance physical activity on metabolic syndrome patients. The study design for this research is a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). Data collection was performed in community health and control of communicable disease center. At baseline, Standardized General Questionnaires were completed for each subject. From the results, it is clear that tests done on Vitamin D, showed increases in body mass index, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein. This implies that a unit increase in Vitamin D led to a commensurate increase in the stated measures. Introduction There are many conditions that pose serious threats to human survival. One of them is syndrome X. This condition is currently incurabl e. It is a group of conditions such as diabetes, stroke, and heart disease (Al-Othman, et al. 2012; Babaei et al. 2017; Rafiq et al. 2017). In other cases, it involves high blood sugar, excess body weight, high blood pressure and abnormal cholesterol levels. It requires a medical diagnosis to be identified and treatment commenced. In the lab, imaging is compulsory for this condition to be identified. It is chronic and it can last for many years and in some cases a lifetime (Bentes et al. 2017; Mann et al. 2015; Ortega et al. 2016). Based on the signs and symptoms exhibited, a healthy lifestyle is enough to prevent this condition. One of the most common ways of treating patients is supplementing them with vitamin D. However, it follows that in so doing the endurance physical activity of the patients needs to be considered (Paulin et al. 2017; Atalay et al. 2015; Hoseini, Damirchi Babaei, 2017). . This forms the basis of this study whereby the investigation seeks to find the effect o f vitamin D supplementation with and without endurance physical activity on metabolic syndrome patients (Strasser, 2017; Abizanda et al. 2015). It is expected that the findings obtained on this topic will benefit doctors, patients and policymakers to improve the current situation. The methodology follows and then the results will be provided thereafter. From there the paper will provide a discussion and finally a conclusion. Methods Research design The study design for this research is a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) (Golder, Loke, Bland, 2011). Based on the suggested formulas, the study participants were recruited on the foundation of developed inclusion/exclusion criteria (Stuart, 2010). The subjects underwent 12 weeks treatment from 01-Mar-2016 to 23-May-2016. Participants were randomly assigned to 1) Vitamin D group: who took only 2000 IU/day vitamin D supplements (Morning Time); 2) Vitamin D plus physical activity group either morning 7:30 PM and afternoon after 3:00 PM: t hose who participated in 30 minutes/day of endurance physical activity and also took 2000 IU/day vitamin D supplements, and 3) Placebo group: A- who participated in 30 min/d of endurance physical activity and also took a placebo. B- Did not participate in 30 min/d of endurance physical activity, but took a placebo. The placebo was obtained from Osweh manufacture Iran-Tehran and was prepared to feature the same shape, odor and size of the supplements (Huang et al. 2015; Farrokhyar et al. 2017; Veasey et al. 2015; Strange et al. 2015). Study location This study was performed in the Sulemani and Halabja center for the control of the communicable and chronic disease. Participants were recruited from the hospital of Halabja. Sample size and Sample determinationThe study used a sample size of 120 patients with metabolic syndrome who completed the study. The sample size obtained for this study was determined using n= 2[(z1-О/2 + z1-ОІ) 2. s2] / d2 formula, (Fleiss, 2011; Bea et al. 2015; Vitezova et al. 2015; Prasad Kochhar, 2016; Autier et al. 2014; Pannu et al. 2017). In this formula n is a number of participants in each group where six groups were obtained as shown in table 1.Table SEQ Table \* ARABIC 1: Number of groups and distribution of study participants120 Metabolic Syndrome patientsVitamin D alone (30)Vitamin D + P.A (30)P.A (30)Placebo(30)Inclusion/exclusion criteria Eligibility criteria for participants having MetS, according to IDF definition and the age between 30 and 50 years, both males and females, living in Halabja for at least three years. Individuals who took supplements containing vitamins D in the last three years was not included in this study. Individuals with type I and type II diabetes who are taking oral hypoglycemic agents or injecting insulin, or any medical therapy affecting the result, smoker, individuals with heart failure, and those who are suffering from renal problems, also individuals with malabsorption syn drome, pregnancy and lactating mothers were all excluded from the study (Geldenhuys et al. 2014; Francomano et al. 2014; Mackawy Badawi, 2014; Godala et al. 2016). The exclusion list included patients with a history of bariatric surgery and who are currently using weight-loss medications. Data collectionData collection was performed in community health and control of communicable disease center. At baseline, Standardized General Questionnaires were completed for each subject (Aalto et al., 2012). Through interview participants provided demographic information with variables (De Vaus, 2013) of education, age, sex, economical status, dietary behavior, history of alcohol consumption and smoking, use of specific treatment of certain disease including blood pressure, plasma blood sugar, cholesterol treatment and supplement usage, as well as physical activity patterns via the International Physical Activity Questionnaire. In addition, a 3-day dietary recall in the first week of study was also used and the questionnaire was used for the dietary assessment. Anthropometric measurement testingParticipants were asked to remain with a minimal light cloth weight possible including shoe removal. Weight measure was taken using a digital weighing scale. The measurements reported and rounded off to the nearest 100 grams. The study participant's weight was measured while they were standing. The body mass index was obtained using the procedure outlined in (de Blacam et al., 2012). During measurement taking it was critical to use the same technician to safeguard errors for error reduction. Biomarker assessmentThe participants were asked to produce a blood sample of 10cc, which was collected from the participant at base line 0 and 12 weeks of the study. The blood was collected after overnight fasting for approximately 12 hours. The blood samples were taken using the protocol outlined in (Bull, 2014: McCarty et al. 2014; Mridha et al. 2015; Barry et al. 2014; Wedlake et al. 2014; Gowda, et al. 2015). Variables of concern in this test were the FPG that were measured on the day of blood collection as outlined in (Barzin et al., 2011).Blood pressure assessmentThe blood pressure among study participants was measured as systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure, (Rothwell et al., 2010) during each interview (from baseline and end of study) at morning in the seating position after at least 15 minutes of rest, using the calibrated mercury sphygmomanometer. Assessment of physical activityTwo times a week for climbing (around 2 hours each time) and two times a week for running (around one hour in the afternoon between 3 to 5 PM). Approximately six hours per week all together (Bauer et al., 2015). Data analysisData for this study was pe...

Treatment and Management of Shyness in Children Essay

Treatment and Management of Shyness in Children Research and studies have found that shyness in children could be due to genetic, temperamental, and environmental influences (Jaffe, 1991, p. 270, Zimbardo 1995, p. 56). This paper aims to discuss the types of shyness, the influences on shyness, the difference between normal and problematic shyness. Lastly, strategies will be presented to help the shy child. The basic feeling of shyness is a common problem not only among children but also among adults. According to Zimbardo (1995, p.56-57) and Jaffe (1995, p. 270), shyness is a mix of emotions, including fear and interest, tension and pleasantness. A shy child may display in his/her†¦show more content†¦As the child gains cognitive advances in self-awareness, it brings on greater social sensitivity in the second year. Self-conscious shyness, at times feeling embarrassed, begins to appear at 4 or 5 years in age. Self-consciousness peaks as the child enters into early adolescence (Berk, 2002). What kind of situations or influences causes children shyness? New social encounters are the most frequent causes of shyness, especially if the child feels himself/herself to be the focus of attention. Zimbardo (1995, p. 108) explains that shyness has been attributed to the â€Å"rapidly change social environment and competitive pressures of school and work with which children and adults must cope.† Researchers have implicated both nurture and nature in children shyness. Some aspects of shyness are learned. Children’s cultural background and family environment model different aspects of social behaviour. Reid and Vans (1989, p.199-218) have found that Children of the sociocentric society have been found to be more quiet, shy and less vocal than the Caucasians and Americans who are egocentric and uphold independency and individualistic ideals. Feldman (2003, p.326-327) explain that hereditary temperament may play an important part in shyness. My Trip At Penn State - 931 Words

About a year ago, in an effort to make that summer the best one of our lives, my sister and I decided to embark on a road trip from Miami to Tallahassee. Not only was it an opportunity to visit my cousin who lives there, but also it was going to be a fun trip for my sister and I—a chance for us to bond. I had just left my final semester at Penn State a few weeks prior and regretting my decision not to take a year off before attending college, I decided to take this time to make up for it. I’ve been to several places in the few years I’ve had the privilege to travel, but watching thousands of pines rolling in and out of view took my breath away. My sister dipped her hand into the bag of French fries she had picked up at a rest stop a few miles back. Remembering a few concepts from my undergraduate courses, I began explaining HDL and LDL levels as well as how cholesterol affects membrane fluidity. She gave me the â€Å"you’re doing it again† glare and I decided she’d had enough for the day. Whether it’s explaining the flow of blood through the heart to students as a learning assistant, or informing various press outlets about cancer in order to gain their support for THON, a student-run philanthropy for children with pediatric cancer held at Penn State every year, I enjoy having the chance to teach things I’ve learned to others, regardless of my sister listening to me or not. The film and novel Jaws Essay Example For Students

The film and novel Jaws? Essay Comparing this to the film, these words could describe the shark at the beginning of the film while it is moving under water, as it is just swiftly swimming with no harsh movements. The opening passage also contains a complex sentence. This helps to draw out suspense in its varied description of the fish such as stating it could have been asleep, it lacked the flotation bladder common to other fish and that it survived only by moving, which gives a suggestion that the fish is different. In the next paragraph the land is described: All that separated sea from shore was a long, straight stretch of beach This makes the fish seem a possible threat because it shows how close it is to the land, and how anyone could be the next victim of the shark if they decided to go for a swim which is exactly what the woman decided to do next! The story then follows on, introducing the man and the woman. As in the film, they are drunk, making them more vulnerable. Both people are happy and as portrayed n the film, the happiness is expected to be destroyed, as this is a horror story. The woman then leaves the man and goes for a swim; this section takes us through the womans actions. She is then described entering the sea, although much more fear is conveyed, as we know the shark is lurking around in the sea, the woman is calm and relaxed as she in unaware of the shark and the fact that danger is so close to her. At this point if anything did happen to her, we would sympathise because the woman was in a happy and carefree mood. Her happiness is soon to be destroyed in such a disastrous way. The author then refers back to the fish confirming its presence in the water: a hundred yards offshore. The fish is a primitive creature as we are told it relies on its instincts and as this creature detects vibrations, we know the woman has no chance of escape. This part could show the point in the film where the woman is seen from the sharks perspective. The woman is now back in the story. She is described as swimming in the sea unaware of the shark and imminent danger. The author creates an impact using a short sentence: The fish turned towards shore. This helps with the suspense as it is a straightforward sentence and tells us the one main fact, which is in a way life threatening. Throughout this section we are not given the womans name which means she is reduced to just a human body and has no role apart from being the sharks prey. At this point a long sentence is put in which delays the action making the audience extremely anxious and wanting to read on. This fish is once again in the next sentence, described as being physically adept and more powerful than the woman. This is the point where we are almost certain the woman will be eaten. The next section introduces the woman. Throughout this time the fish and woman were introduced one at a time, but now they are finally in the same sentence. His proves to building up gradual suspense. The main technique, that is used to build suspense, is the way the author delays all the action which is just what is done in the next paragraph, where he mentions the woman feels nothing further and resumes her lurching stroke. Some active verbs are also used such as sharp, broke, and cut, this could be a sign of what may happen to the unknown victim by the shark. .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 , .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .postImageUrl , .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 , .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:hover , .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:visited , .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:active { border:0!important; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:active , .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783 .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ub33ab7dd81b245375738e689418eb783:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Film Review: Glory EssayOnce more the author refers to the fish and the word now is used. This indicates immediate action. During this point not only do we want some action but we sympathise for the woman as her feelings are described bringing mixed emotions to the audience. The woman is attacked but not instantaneously and the attack is drawn out. However, in comparison to the film, the womans death is more vivid as the author describes it in depth, using complex sentences to express her terrific death. Whereas in the in the film we only get to see her head above water. To conclude my essay, I think the novel and film create suspense in different ways. Both film and novel have an impact in the way they present tension and suspense. In my opinion, I would say the novel has a greater effect. This is partially because while reading we can take sentences such as her torso was ripped apart and create our own scene in our mind. Whereas in the film the picture that is portrayed is the one, which we will accept. Even though the film can use dramatic music and flashing effects, the novel can build up gradual anxiety to keep the reader keen.
